Partny 2 months 7 days Dishwasher door openingI have a Whirlpool ADG957 dishwasher. The door kept springing open mid cycle and eventually showed signs of a broken door spring. Inspection found a bent adjustable foot,(front left), and a broken door brake block and snapped strap on the same side. I have replaced the brake blocks and straps on both sides as recommended, and replaced the busted foot with a support block, using the other 3 adjustable feet to level the machine. However, the door still springs open and now won’t stay closed at all, although the door catch appears to work and does latch the door before it immediately spring open.
The door springs have 3 hook positions. I have used the top position after replacing the blocks and straps, as it was so set up initially. Are there any adjustments which might be made, either to the spring hook positions, or the door hinges, (which appeared to be ok), o r else where, I.e. Door catch in the door, which would keep the door closed after latching? Grateful for any advice.
